5 Creative Ways to Improve Crew Communication
In this crazy world it is hard enough to focus on getting ready for the season and for the big game. Here are 5 creative ways to improve crew communication. None of these suggestions have paid for advertising. These are our favorite recommendations from members of the GAOA:
1. GROUP ME
This is a great tool that works a lot like text messaging. It is a chat tool where you can create different groups that will not bog down your text messages. It is a great way to organize conversations between your officiating friends. Also great for multi-sport officials. CLICK HERE TO EXPLORE
2. FREE CONFERENCE CALL
One of our favorites! This free version does not limit your time like others, and it is truly free with video, voice and screen sharing capabilities. This is great for weekly crew meetings in a world where social distancing is a concern. This will allow for a large volume of participants as well if needed for associations. CLICK HERE TO EXPLORE
Great to find plays to watch! Also a great way to find mechanics conversations. Many times you can find state approved channels as a resource for crew meeting material. Here is an example of the GHSA Football Training Channel: CLICK HERE.
4. DIGITAL RULE BOOKS
You can always find the digital rule books on your iPhone or other major apps that sell books. These are great, because you can find information so fast. The search function makes life easy when taking test and looking for topics to cover for meetings.
5. GET IT RIGHT
This is an animated program that presents much more than a game film. This will allow the users to look at the same play from the view of all officials including 1st and 3rd person point of view. This is an outstanding program that is the future of training as this concept continues to develop. CLICK HERE TO EXPLORE
