Today Is a New Day at GAOA

About a year and a half ago, the GAOA BOD set out to restructure the organization and this time in 2019 we released that information in a blog. This has changed the dynamics of what we are able to do and accomplish for officials throughout the state of Georgia. We have many things in store, but a here are a few big projects that we have been working on for the past year:

• GHSA Pay Increases for all Sports - Passed

• Representation of Officials on the GHSA State Executive Committee - In Process

• GHSA Camp Fee Reduction - In Process

• Reconsideration GHSA Travel Reimbursement Policy - In Process

• Admittance of 2 Officials on the Game Pass Card - In Process

• Podcast to keep officials updated on current events - Active

• Monthly Newsletter - Active

• Addition of more vendor discounts for GAOA Members - Active

It has been a busy year, there is no question, but we have so much more to do.

We have recently amended our membership plan. We now offer a FREE membership to all officials across the state. We still have our card membership, but we have added this FREE membership to encourage ALL officials throughout the state to join GAOA. This statewide association needs the support of all officials from every sport to join together to create one voice so that we can continue to advance our advocation.
